Sonic Migration is the space where you can find playlists for the music Victoria Z (that would be me) spins on KPFA. Upon occasion you can also find concert reviews, music videos & interviews, upcoming events in the Bay Area and probably whatever else comes up.
What kind of music you ask? Hum, stuff like latin alternative, electronica, world music and in general much of what KPFA listeners listened to every Tuesday on MOTW. I don’t really care for genres, often I just need a good beat. So that would likely mean the range of music will be varied, erractic and maybe a bit perplexing.
This is also where you can find the playlists for KPFA’s Music of the World with Victoria Z from 2004 to September 2007.
Currently, you can hear my mixes on Off The Beaten Path every Monday at 10pm on KPFA 94.1FM. The archives for the program are available for two weeks only. I continue to post the playlist here on this blog for my records and in case the KPFA server ever dies which could happen at a struggling nonprofit.
